Working with a sustainable clothing company.

Who are Hood Vintage.

Hood Vintage is a sustainable clothing company set up with the aim of reducing fashion pollution and the massive impact it has on the environment. The people of Hood Vintage do this by purchasing clothing destined for landfill, then they pick out the items they know will be loved by their customers.

In order to ensure the quality of these items, they can be re-worked, dyed or deep cleaned. To present them for sale on the website, they are steamed, photographed and measured, they are then uploaded onto the site.

Not only is this beneficial for the environment, it allows customers to purchase items from premium brands such as Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger and The North Face. Brands which are high in price and demand. Re-working these products from such well known and loved brands reduces some of the 300,000 tonnes of clothes that we Britons throw away each year.

In keeping with their mantra to become carbon neutral and fully sustainable, Hood Vintage work hand-in-hand with Ecologi. They’re a charitable organisation which plants trees across the planet to restore the environment, they also provide funding to the best climate crisis solutions on a global scale. From each monthly profit, Hood Vintage donates 15% of their takings straight to Ecologi and all of their wonderful projects.

What we did.

For this ongoing client, we engineered the branding, photography, and the website construction. Their brief allowed us to create a new and bright brand identity for Hood Vintage. In order to design this new identity, we photographed some of the items they sell and implemented them onto their website and on social media. Working alongside some of the Hood Vintage team we carried out a shoot in Chelsea, London to achieve these varied images.

As well as carrying out the photography required for the brand re-launch, we created a logo, colour scheme and typeface for the company. Not only this, we helped design the packaging and clothing labels used by the brand. This production process has individualised Hood Vintage and their aims as a sustainable brand.

We then put together the entire website onto a Shopify theme, using our selected colour palette and logo. To design the site exactly how the client wanted it, we used custom coding to tailor multiple aspects of the eCommerce platform.
